Delightful Dinners and Lovely Luncheons at 10 Dove Street

News about this beautifully quaint place actually reached my gluttonous ears several years ago. In short, I’ve heard of this place from friends before but have never had any occasion to visit it myself until last month. My two delicious visits to this adorable place are, I can safely say, among the highlights of the last month of my 2011… more so when I got a taste of their Pandan Cake after I already had their Yogurt one! How unbelievably yummy is that?!

Now, before I go into the photos of yummy food and beautiful friends, I think it’s only appropriate that I mention some details about this lovely food place.

10 Dove Street, as its name implies, is the actual  address of the restaurant. The complete address is 10 Dove Street, Sto. Nino Village, Banilad, Cebu City Philippines. They serve “four-course” meals of your choice. Basically, you order a soup, a salad, a sandwich(main course), and a slice of cake. But it depends on which sandwich you get though. There are some sandwiches which have accompanying salads, so you’d have to cancel the salad part… which would mean you’d be having a three-course instead of a four-course meal. But that’s all right. You’d still be stuffed. Trust me! And all these delightfully delicious dishes only cost Php190 per person. It’s a veritable glutton’s feast that’s quite reasonably priced in this age of never-ending inflation, methinks. However, that price doesn’t include drinks. So you have to pay for the drinks on top of the Php190. No need to worry though, their drinks are reasonably priced at Php40 to Php50… from what I can remember.

Now, the first visit was a treat of an old friend… a very generous and good friend. Thanks Alfie! 😀 Our dinner party consisted of bellas Dona and Joan, guapos Alfie and Junico, and yours truly. 😛 Now, about the scrumptious dinner…

It started with a plate of cute Breadstix... for appetizers, I think. [Rating: 7/10]

I love these things but I could think of yummier starters. 😀

Clam Chowder [Rating: 9/10]

I put some pepper powder but it didn’t actually make it spicier.  It was yummy nonetheless.

Potato Salad [Rating: 8/10]

It was yummy but wasn’t really exceptional.

Finding Nemo Salad [Rating: 10/10]

Dona loved it, even when it had an overload of croutons. Hehe.

Shrimp Salad [Rating:  /10]

I forgot the name but I remember it had shrimp and cucumber.

 Chicken Mango Salad [Rating:  /10]

Macaroni and Frankfurter Skillet [Rating:  9/10]

I actually tasted this one. It was spectacular! But frankfurters are made with red meat. 😦

By the time we had our sandwiches, we were already stuffed! Haha. So I only ate half of mine.

My Tuna Sandwich [Rating: 9/10]

The sandwiches basically look the same. You could only tell the difference once you take  a bite.

Junico had one huge burger but I wasn’t able to snap pixies before he munched on them. Guess he was still hungry. 😛

Now, on to dessert…

Yogurt Cake [Rating: 10/10]

Mango Cake [Rating: 8/10]

Choco Decadence Cake [Rating: 10/10]

Yummy but Forgettable Cake [Rating: 8/10]

Seriously, I forgot the name. 😀

And of course, the lovely people who waited for my tardy behind. 😀

Thanks for waiting!

We were nursing painfully rounded bellies that night. On top of that, we still had doggie bags when we walked out of there!  And for what we paid for, it was certainly a big bargain. Correction, for what Alfie paid for, the dinner was a great bargain.  Yummy food makes me the happiest of people obviously. Hehe.

That concluded that night. 🙂

*~*~*~*~*

But then, lovelies Kate and Jay-Ann invited me to lunch. And they were quite curious about this place because I couldn’t stop talking about it for days. Haha.

And so, last December 27, I went back to 10 Dove Street and had lunch with the beauties. Merci beaucoup, belles!

This time I had…

Broccoli and Cheese Soup [Rating: 10/10]

Kate had Crab and Corn soup. [Rating: 10/10]  Jay-Ann had Creamy Squash soup. [Rating: 9/10]

No pixies though. They were hungry. Haha.

Kate’s Garden Salad [Rating: 10/10]

She looked like she’d have married that salad if she could. Kidding, Kate!

My Harvest Apple Salad [Rating: 9/10]

Didn’t think the mallows belonged, gastronomically speaking. 😛

They looked cute though.

Jay-Ann’s Salad

Forgot the name. Pardonnez-moi. 😦

Kate’s Chicken Burger [Rating: 9/10]

She said it was yummy but she couldn’t finish it because we still had dessert to think about.

Jay-Ann’s Sandwich

My Chicken Fillet Sandwich [Rating: 10/10]

I actually finished this one. It was incredible!

Dessert!!!

Choco Decadence Cake [Rating: 10/10]

Pandan Cake [Rating: 20/10]

I simply adore this!

Choco Strawberry Cake [Rating: 8/10]

The Lovelies!

And our mini photoshoot… Hehe!

Cute interior of the lovely place… at night

During daylight

Table Setting

The place is seriously beautiful, even though it’s a bit small-ish. I think it’s actually part of its charm, its limited space. And because of that, you have to call ahead and make reservations when you wanna eat here… just so you can be sure to get a table.   To make your reservations, just call (032) 346-0618.

I feel so lucky. I have such lovely generous (and rich) friends!

Bon appétit!

  1. When I originally commented I seem to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get 4 emails with the exact same comment. There has to be a way you are able to remove me from that service? Thank you!

    • Hello! I’m sorry that you’ve been inconvenienced by the comments, but I really have no idea how to exclude you from the notifications. I think you’re the one who can deactivate them, in your wordpress subscription or something. I had this very same problem before with a blog I was following and I just followed some link on the email notification on managing my subscription.

Hope this helps. I’m sorry again. And thanks for visiting. 😀

    • Yes, you just tell the guard on duty you’re going to “10 Dove Street”. They know the place have many visitors, a.k.a. customers.

      Thanks for visiting, Ramy! ^_^

    • I haven’t been back here for over a year. 😛

But actually, I think you have to call first to make reservations. I usually call a day before we have dinner there. 😀

      Thanks for the visit. 🙂

  3. I don’t know whether it’s just me or if perhaps everybody else
encountering issues with your blog. It looks like some of the text in your posts are running off the screen. Can somebody else please provide feedback and let me know if
this is happening to them as well? This may be a problem with
my web browser because I’ve had this happen previously.
    Thanks

    • Sorry to hear that. May I know in which browsers are you having problems? I’ve checked the site just now and I find no issues using Chrome and Firefox. I’ve also checked it on my iPhone and it also looks fine on Safari.

Hope you resolve the issues soon, if you haven’t yet.

      Thanks for visiting! 🙂
