Satchmo and Lucy at Mooon Cafe

“Don’t burn any bridges,” a superior once told me that this was one of our benevolent boss’ mottoes. And this statement was what came to my mind when I came back to this little restaurant in a little area near the provincial capitol. Its name is Moon Cafe.

You see, I used to hate this place–very much so. From its dirty floors to their snobby waiters to their crappy service. Before, you couldn’t eat before the hunger pangs have come and gone, and comes back and goes away again. Hahaha! Okay, okay, I may be exaggerating a little bit but the only saving grace in that place before was their food. They had great food. They still do actually.

One time, I brought my whole family there for dinner and we waited for almost an hour but none of the waiters would deign to even notice us. I was waving my hands like crazy and each of their waiters just stupidly stared at me. It was unbelievably annoying. My sisters didn’t want to end up being asinine and so we decided to get out of there before one of us totally lose our temper.

However, quite a lot has changed since then. And the nice new things I found have revived my esteem for this place. In addition to still having great food, they now have a nicer and cleaner place, more efficient service, and nice amiable waiters and waitresses. What could possibly go wrong with that?

Now let’s talk about what this whole post should be about. The food! And yeah, Satchmo. Of course I’m not going to forget about Satchmo. Satchmo is my friend Ley’s cow friend/blog companion. We went to Mooon Cafe to give him one last “hurrah” before we send him off to his U.S. tour. I know! We all got beaten by a cow, and not even a real one at that. Sorry Satchmo! But hey, Satchmo is way cuter and stinks less than a real cow. And so everybody loves the little guy.
